FLOWERS: Not significant
FRUIT: Light green nuts, 1.5 to 2.0", turning black after falling to the ground
SOILS: Adaptable, prefers deep, rich, moist soils, tolerates drier soils
LIGHTING: Full sun
USES: The tree is valuable for its wood
MAINTENANCE: Reasonably trouble free, deep taproot, hard to transplant, only specific plants will grow under this tree, a natural herbicide, called juglones, is secreted from the roots and is toxic to most plants
